EP.OM.E.A.’s volunteers from Egaleo, Athens and Alepochori aided in the evacuation of trapped drivers in Attiki Odos during the whole night. The volunteers cleared the way off the snow, our special rescue vehicle “Hephaestus” towed trucks and other volunteers distributed blankets to people who found themselves trapped in the snowstorm and the extremely low temperatures since early afternoon.

Our volunteers carried on with their task on Alexandras Avenue and Mesogeion Avenue this morning as well.
